After Rajpal Yadav made an emotional plea after surrendering before the Tihar Jail authorities in cheque-bounce cases, the actor’s manager has spoken exclusively to SCREEN about how the actor is receiving no support from the Hindi film industry amid his legal troubles. Meanwhile, Bollywood actor Sonu Sood has taken to Twitter (now X), urging “producers, directors, and colleagues to stand together” and reminding Rajpal that he is not alone. Sonu Sood extends support to Rajpal Yadav Taking to X, Sonu Sood wrote, “Rajpal Yadav is a gifted actor who has given years of unforgettable work to our industry. Sometimes life turns unfair, not because of talent, but because timing can be brutal. After Sunita Ahuja levelled allegations against her husband Govinda of having an extra-marital affair and even named a newcomer actress, Komal, with whom she alleged the actor was involved, the Hero No. 1 star has now addressed the claims. This is why I left politics for the sake of my family. I even ask Sajid Nadiadwala to help Yash and he even gave his cabin to him to help him learn how films are made. Also, I wasn’t asked about this much at home, and there was a environment ready at my home in which it was perceived that I am unsuccessful in terms of films.” He added, “If people start thinking like this in my own family, then where will I go. I got at least 18 directors, 19–20 producers, and when God gave me time, I have given my full effort. Yash will be a better actor than me. He is technically more sound than me.”
